Windows Postscript Printer
Q. How do I install a Postscript printer under Windows NT/95/98/2K?
The following instructions are written for Microsoft Windows NT. Installing it in other Windows Operating Systems (95/98 and Win2k) should be similar.
- Insert the Windows NT Disc in the CDROM.
- Go to Printers (Start/Settings/Printers)
- Click on "Add Printer". This brings up the Add Printer Wizard. Select "My Computer" and click "Next".

- Select "FILE" as the port. It should be right at the bottom of the list. Click "Next".

- Select "QMS" as the Printer Manufacturer and select "QMS-PS 860+ Level 2" as the postscript printer. Click "Next".

- You can enter any user friendly name or leave the default name. Click "Next".

- Leave the default as "Not Shared". Click "Next".

- Click "No" for printing the "test page". Click "Next".

- If Windows NT finds your CDROM then you are done. If it does not find the Windows NT CDROM, then it will prompt you for the correct location. By default, it looks for "d:\i386". Suppose, your CDROM drive is "E:", change the "d:\i386" to "e:\i386".
- To make a Postscript file, select the above printer in your application that you want to print from.
