UPDATE: The username for the Exchange account will be the same as your current Email alias (your UNIX account username)

Your password will be your Windows domain password in the department and not the UNIX Account password as it was previously.
- Students: If you have never logged in the Windows domain (same as Graduate Windows Lab or the Podium workstations), then your initial password was mailed to you at the beginning of the semester.
- Faculty: Login information will be emailed to Faculty who have not used the Windows labs.
- You can simply access your email using Outlook Web Access by going to https://mail.cs.stonybrook.edu.
- All your emails to the username@cs.sunysb.edu and username@cs.stonybrook.edu addresses will be forwarded to Exchange.
- Emails detected as SPAM will be directly put into the Junk-Email folder in your mailbox (accessible via IMAP or Outlook web access or Outlook).
- Users have plenty of storage on the mail server and do not need to worry about deleting their emails.
- Your existing emails are not automatically moved to Exchange. Please refer to our migration guide to transfer your emails.
- Complete Exchange functionality can be experienced using the following clients
- Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 on Windows
- Entourage, Outlook 2010 on Mac
- Outlook web access using Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari on Windows, Mac or Linux
- Mac Mail on Mac (10.6+ has native support for Microsoft Exchange)
- Mobile phones with ActiveSync support (Windows Mobile, iPhone and others)
- Limited functionality can be experienced using the following clients
- Outlook Express on Windows
- Mac Mail on Mac (10.5 or lower)
- Thunderbird 3.0+ on Windows or Linux (using add-ons and LDAP)
- Other email clients
