We have implemented Lync Server 2010 to provide IM, audio/video conferencing and desktop sharing functionality for the CS department. The above functionality integrates into our existing active directory and Exchange infrastructure. In the future, we hope to also provide telephony services to unify communications within the department.

Currently the above functionality is limited only to faculty, staff and selected students. Faculty can send a request to RT if they would like to include additional students.
