Do Your Part to Conserve Energy!

Stony Brook's culture promotes environmental sustainability. Computer Science IT has taken numerous steps to conserve energy. Powering down computers, and other office equipment at the end of the workday helps conserve energy.

We have implemented a new Password Reset solution. This software will enable students to unlock, reset and change their passwords without the help of the staff. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We have implemented a new terminal server for faculty, staff and student use, which lets any department user work remotely and securely (e.g., from home, dorm, or on the road). The server has access to software such as Matlab and other windows applications that may not be easily accessible from outside of the department network. Users also have the ability to print to departmental printers as well as access their home directories. The terminal server has been tested from Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
