ACM Solid and Physical Modeling Symposium 2008 (SPM'08) will
be held on June 2-4, 2008, in Stony Brook University, Stony
Brook, New York, USA. ACM SPM'08 is co-sponsored by ACM and IEEE
(pending), and in cooperation with SIAM.
This highly successful conference series have been a primary
venue for disseminating research results and exchanging new
ideas in geometric and solid modeling, physical modeling,
geometric design, analysis, simulation and processing, shape
computing and visualization, and various applications.
SPM'08 will be immediately followed by the International
Conference on Shape Modeling and Applications 2008 (SMI'08), to
be held in Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York, USA,
on June 4-6, 2008. Both SPM'08 and SMI'08 events will be
co-located in Stony Brook, and are part of the 2008 Stony Brook
Modeling Week that features International Joint Convention on
Shapes and Solids (ICSS'08). Stony Brook Modeling Week will be
hosted by the Center for Visual Computing (CVC), the Computer
Science Department of Stony Brook University and will be chaired
by Professor Hong Qin. The conference program will be announced
here in March, 2008 after paper decisions are made !
You are welcome to download our first announcement (in PDF
format) about
Stony Brook Modeling Week
and
ACM
Solid and Physical Modeling Symposium
and forward to people
who are interested in attending these events! We welcome
researchers, practitioners, colleagues, and students to attend
Stony Brook Modeling Week in June, 2008 in Stony Brook
University.
Journal Publications
Selected papers of outstanding quality that have been presented at SPM'08 will be published in special issues of: IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer Aided Geometric Design, Computer-Aided Design, and IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering.
