About Me

I am a Graduate Student in the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University, currently in the third semester of my Graduate program. I am working under Professor Rob Johnson and Professor Michael Schatz on projects related to Computer System Security and Processing Large Genomic Sequences.

I have also interned at Amazon LLC and worked as a Software Engineer in android and symbian labs at Samsung India.

Projects

  • Academic Projects:
    • Pre-Patched Software: This is a program transformation technique for embedding latent run-time security checks into potentially-vulnerable programs. The project was done under the guidance of Professor. Rob Johnson in the SPLAT Lab

    • Short Indel Detection for Large Genomic Sequences: The project involves detecting sequence insertions and deletions from huge volumesof short reads on DNA sequences. It utilizes the Map-Reduce feature offered by Hadoop framework to accomplish the task of detecting Indels in sequences of billion-bases length in a relatively short duration on time by parallelizing the process. Professor Michael Schatz of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is guiding this project.

  • Professional Projects:
    • Treadmill (Amazon LLC): Treadmill provides a network performance analysis toolset with a Manager implemented using netty framework in Java and corresponding client implemented in C++. XML specification is used to define various test configurations. I was involved in enhancing Treadmill to make it network topology aware and to enhance its usability by letting users visualize results and trends over time.

    • Video-Telephony (Samsung): Developed the adaptation layer called VTManager for H324M VT stack to enable the routing of Video Data from the Camera sensor to the H324M stack. The adaptation layer would also handle the rendering of remote video data onto the overlay driver of the surfaceflinger (display module).
