HELP WITH HANDIN

Instructions for handing in projects

It is required that every student submit an electronic copy of his/her projects. A hard copy may also be required for some projects.

Electronic Submission:
After you are done, submit electronic copy of your program to cse220 account on sparky. Note that you must first be logged in to your sparky account to do this, and already have a copy of the program file there.

After logging into your sparky account, go to the directory where the program file you want to hand in is and execute ~cse220/submit . The submit command will ask for your section and file name. Type just file-name or ./file-name as your response.

Your project will then be copied to Handin directory in the course account under your name. If you submit more than once, only the last copy will be retained. If your submission is successful, you will get an acknowledgement right away.

If you are having any problems with submit command and decide not to submit your project, then at least do not touch the copy of the program file you have in your sparky account after the due date and time. You can always show the time stamp on that project file to TA and then the TA will copy your program to the course account.
  1. You must submit electronically from sparky. If you fail to do so and you do not have any valid reason to explain why, you will lose most points. Please do not email your program in to the Professor, the TA and, most especially, not to the course account on sparky (we never check the email there).

  2. If you submit to wrong section, you could lose some points.
