Over the course of the semester, students will be asked to complete four short homework assignments (either written or programming) and a final project (in the form of a programing project or a research paper). The project may be completed in groups of up to three students, with larger groups completing proportionally more challenging assignments. Class participation will be measured using (1) participation in class discussions, (2) surprise quizzes, and (3) an in-class presentation of your final project.
Each of the four homework assignments is worth 15 points. The final project is worth 30 points. Class participation is worth up to 10 points.
