About CSGSC

The Computer Science Graduate Student Council (CSGSC) consists of elected representatives from the Computer Science department and no faculty is involved during the election. The CSGSC is primarily concerned with promoting the general welfare and concerns for the computer science graduate student body, and communicating with the faculty and administration on their behalf. We encourage and are working on improving communication amongst graduate students, and increasing graduate student involvement in formulating policies that affect them. The CSGSC also sponsors many social, cultural, and fun events throughout the entire year to help maintain the mental stability of computer science graduate students and enrich their academic lives at Stony Brook.

Activities that we sponsor

The Computer Science Graduate Student Council organizes the following events during the academic year:

• The orientation BBQ, which is held at the begining of the academic year;
