History of Donut Hour

Donut Hour was born on the 2nd day of December 1988 A.D. at 3:30 pm. It was started here by Prof. Steven Skiena. He was inspired by the donut hour in University of Illinois. Click here to know further about Donut Hour at University of Illinois.

The purpose of donut hour is to have fun and meet fellow computer scientists in an informal setting. The hope is that this would encourage inter-group interaction in the department.

Although it started as donut hour, people get all kinds of things to eat and drink. So don't be discouraged to attend if you don't like donuts.
