  • NO FOOD OR DRINKS allowed in any of the graduate windows lab. Please use the Grad Lab responsibly, and try to keep a clean working environment. Please do not unplug any computers in either of the Graduate Windows Lab. If you want to use a laptop, please use Room 1203 assigned specifically for this purpose.

  • What's new for Fall '09 ?

    • The Graduate Lab (Room: 1239) has eight brand new Quad Core Lenovo Workstations with 4 GB of memory and Nvidia 9 series graphics cards for extreme performance.
    • Advanced Network Switches with Gigabit connection speed for faster connectivity.
    • Faster and more reliable servers (Quad core Xeon servers with multiple GB of memory).

  • 'Vista' has been installed in the lab. Login instructions are located here.


  • The Graduate Windows Lab now has a second printer and also a scanner.

  • Printers:

    • Please do not open the printer for any reason except to refill the paper tray. Mishandling of the printer or toner cartridge, leads to paper jams and lengthy printer repairs. This will cause delays in restoring printing service in the lab. If the printer is out of toner or the toner is low, please contact us.
    • Printer usage is logged. Please use for homework and research only.

  • Graduate Lab Combinations

    • You can get the Graduate Lab combinations by logging in to "Secure Sign On" with your department id and password, and checking the FAQ section.
    • If the combination changes and you are a continuing student, the combination will be emailed to you. It will also be updated in the "SSO" area of the website.
    • The new students, who have not received their department id yet, can contact the 'Graduate Student Service Secretary' Room - 1440 for the combinations.

  • System Critical Patches and Updates:

    Critical Patches and Updates will be applied to the Windows systems between 3am and 4am every day. Sometimes a reboot may be required. In this case, you will receive a prompt to reboot the computer incase you are logged in.
