Annual URECA Undergraduate Research poster/exhibition - on APRIL 29
(Wednesday)

Each year, URECA sponsors a Celebration of Undergraduate Research &
Creative Activity.  The URECA Celebration provides a professional and
friendly setting for students to present their research and to see what's
going on in their own and other departments. A central event is a large
all-day poster session. There are also oral presentations/symposia in
several areas (including: the History Department; the Psychology
Department/Psi Chi; the CEAS Senior Design Conference; Nanotechnology
Studies; the College of Business).  Any SBU undergraduate participating in
mentored research (working with grad students, post docs and/or faculty;
taking independent research classes; and/or working on a senior
project/thesis) is invited to participate. Students benefit by gaining
experience in presenting their work, discussing their project with faculty
and other colleagues in the campus community, and learning about the work
of their fellow students. Undergraduate abstracts are published in URECA
Collected Abstracts 2008-2009 .

The URECA Celebration will be held on Wednesday, APRIL 29, at the Student
Activities Center (10 am-4pm). The event is sponsored by the Howard Hughes
Medical Institute (HHMI) and the  Center for Science & Math Education
(CESAME) .

Note: Abstracts & participation forms are due MARCH 20th!
