Students have the opportunity to conduct undergraduate research with a small team (2-4 students) at their home institution during the academic year and optionally the following summer. Formerly administered as two separate programs - CREU and MRO-W - the program includes not only computer science and computer engineering research, but may also include multidisciplinary research. Students receive a $3,000 stipend for their work in the academic year and $4,000 for the optional summer extension. Each team can also request an extra $1,500 to be used for supporting materials and activities.
