Group Project Delivery; What I Did

This assignment has two parts.

Part 1. Group Project Delivery

Each group is asked to package your system and deliver it on the web and in the cvs repository, either as a direct web application or as a downloadable system from the web and/or the cvs repository.

This includes in particular providing a User's Manual or Usage Manual for the system. Note that by "user", we mean anyone who needs to use the system; for example, it should include operators of your system. Basically, you need to describe the complete process of getting, setting up, and using your software. Note that your User's Manual must start with a link to your web page that contains the delivered system.

As discussed in class last Thursday (not discussed in the textbook), you should base your User's Manual on your requirements documents and cover the content for your project demo, which is in 2.5 weeks.

Each group is also asked to get ready for project presentation in classes by Tuesday Nov. 30. I have asked every group for preferences in terms of presentation ordering but also told everyone that there is no guarantee of a particular time until later (unless you've volunteered to present on the first day, but I don't have enough volunteers yet). This is to be fair to everyone as long as possible (even though it is particularly hard for software engineering). I will post a schedule by the coming Sunday. Please make sure that your presentation covers the "what", "why", and "how" of the system you developed, as discussed during individual group meetings.

Part 2. What I did

Describe what you did for the course this week and last week, as in Part 3 of Assignment 1.

Bonus

As in the Bonus part of Assignment 1.

Handins

For Part 1, each group is asked to hand in a printout of the User's Manual in class, and send me an email in plain text containing your link (to your web page that contains the delivered system), your project name, and your group name. For Part 2, each person is asked to hand in a separate printout in class.

Grading

This assignment is worth about 4% of the course grade. Each of the two parts is worth 90% and 10% of the grade, respectively.
