Learning Drupal

Drupal is currently a much sought after tool in the field of Content Management Systems. I have installed the 7.7 version on my 64-bit Ubuntu partition and am having some fun playing around with it. The tool seems  decently intuitive and offers a lot of features, which I am just beginning to grasp.

RA at Computer Associates

From June to late August 2011, I worked as a full-time (40 hours/week) Research Assistant for CA Technologies on a couple of exciting projects involving web application development in Java.

 

I am currently working part-time (20 hours/week) for the Fall 2011 semester.

Photography Gear

Off-camera flash photography is an interesting subject and I recently got myself a used Nikon SB-24 speedlite with the 3' long SC-17 cord to conduct a few experiments in portrait photography with my Nikon D100.

I am a full-time graduate student in Computer Science at Stony Brook University, New York. I expect to graduate with a MS degree in December 2011.

 

My programming interests are Java-based web application development, including technologies like Java Servlets, JSPs, HTML, Javascript (jQuery and AJAX) and CSS. I also enjoy core Java programming and am currently developing an Android app as my advanced MS project.

 

Personal interests are birdwatching, photography, writing and astronomy.
