Click on the Netscape icon.
-
Go to Prof. Skiena's WWW page.
Select the view source option from the view menu.

(2) Where is the link to the CSE 101 page?
(3) How are lists formed and formatted, like the list of papers?
-
Now, let's use the Netscape Gold editor to create a test WWW page.
Focus on learning the features of the tool instead of the content
of your page.
Select the New Document - blank option
from the File menu.
-
Walk through all the menu options and buttons.
In particular, note the Insert menu,
the a- and A+ buttons (which change font size),
buttons to change the font style (italics and bold)
and color.
The paragraph style button on the left enables you to
format text in many ways.
-
Start to type some text in the big edit window.
Experiment with different fonts, different colors,
and different paragraph formats (including headers and lists).
-
Save your page to a file on your floppy disk, working from the File menu.
Exit Netscape
-
Start Netscape again, and open your file for reading
using the "Open File in Editor" menu entry.
-
Insert a link to the CSE 101 home page into your document
-
Using the browse document option, bring up the current page and click
on the new CSE 101 link, to show that it is alive.
