    STRIPE is a software tool which converts a polygonal model into triangle strips.  It was developed at Stony Brook University.  Stripe is freely available for non commerical use with commercial licenses available for a nominal fee.

 
    STRIPE currently has over 400 users worldwide and STRIPE was a 1997 finalist in the AT&T Long Island Software Awards.

    The following model is a demonstration of the models STRIPE can produce.  This particular model consists of about 5700 triangles with triangle stripes shaded in different colors. Check out some other models in the Pictures section!
