I am Xiaoming Wei, a research assistant in the Department of Computer Science, Stony Brook University, affiliated with the Visualization Laboratory and the Center for Visual Computing (CVC). My Ph.D. advisor is Leading Professor and Chair Arie Kaufman. I will join the Department of Computer Science, Iona College as an assistant professor in August 2004.
I received my Ph.D. degree (2004) in Computer Science from the Stony Brook University. I received my B.S. degree (1995) in Computer Science from the Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics in Beijing, P. R. China and my M.S. degree (1998) in Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence from the Computer Science Department of Tsinghua University in Beijing, P. R. China. In 2000, I received my M.S. degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
My research areas include Computer Graphics and Visualization, Physics-based Modeling, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Animation and Simulation, Virtual Reality and Virtual Environments. I am a member of IEEE and ACM.
