Voxelization Library and Format for Storage of 3D Gridded Data

The voxelization class library vxt and the format for storage of Gridded volumetric data f3d were developed and implemented in the framework of the Flight Simulation project in the Visualization Lab of SUNY at Stony Brook and at Commission for Scientific Visualization in Vienna, Austria.

In order to make both packages easily available to public, the State University of New York at Stony Brook agreed to distribute both packages under the following licenses:

  • The core code for 'f3d' format reading, and writing, which is free for both noncommercial and commercial purposes.
  • The rest is covered by the GPL license, which makes the packages free for noncommercial usage, modification and further distribution.
