Welcome to Wei Hu's website!

I am a master student in Computer Science, Stony Brook University. I will graduate in December, 2008. My current advisor is Professor Rong Zhao and my previous advisor in Stony Brook is Professor Dimitris Samaras.

I got my Bachelor degree of Automation in Tsinghua University, China in 2003. Then I went to Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences to pursue my Master degree of Electrical Engineering, supervised by Professor Weiming Hu. My research area at that time was Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Network Intrusion Detection. After graduation from there in 2006, I came to Stony Brook University.

I have strong research background and have published four papers on different famous international conferences. I have rich experience on various projects regarding computer vision, machine learning, web development, database, network intrusion detection and so on.

I like playing basketball, solving puzzles, traveling and making friends with everybody. I would like to share my photos and my solutions of puzzles with you.

I was President of Chinese Student and Scholar Association in Stony Brook from March 2007 to March 2008, and I guess I have some connections with different people and resources. If there is something that I can help, please let me know.

Enjoy walking around here :)
