Research

My current areas of interest include medical informatics, Information systems (especially banking systems), software engineering, electronic commerce and parallel programming.

Some of the active research projects are listed below:

• Emergency Department Error Detection System (EEDS) - a system to identify adverse events and special conditions in a clinical setting (e.g., Emergency Medicine).
• Marine Science Database project - a system to collect, store, and retrieve marine and atmospheric data concerning the Long Island Sound and other bodies of water.
• Universal Medical Monitor - a software development project to construct a Java API for access to patient medical data obtained through medical monitors.
